Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation Degree
Students who are interested in the College Transfer majors listed below to pursue a career in teaching will follow the Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation Degree program of study. Students are encouraged to meet with their assigned advisor to ensure the appropriate General Education Electives are chosen for their pathway based on their institution of transfer. In the state of North Carolina, to become a licensed lead teacher in the K-12 education system, individuals must also obtain a bachelor's degree and pass a licensure exam.
